One of the benefits of homeownership is having the ability to transform your home into a place you love, and that reflects your personality. Not many people have the bravery to make bold statements like this master bathroom in Washington Township, but this client had no fear! It was so refreshing to design a spunky bathroom that’s both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Our client still maintained the typical functional requests we get when we’re remodeling a bathroom. She wanted a space that was easy to clean, as safe as possible, and a larger shower.
Based on a series of questions, we found out that she really didn’t need the linen closet in the middle of the bathroom and would prefer a more open room. In our new design, the closet was eliminated, but an “over the john” cabinet was installed above the toilet to compensate for the storage she needed.
The second design goal to accomplish was to make the shower larger. We stole space from the walk-in closet to increase the width of the shower. We also had the room to increase the depth of the shower making it almost twice the square footage. We eliminated the curb of the shower and installed Cambria on the walls to make it both safe and easy to clean.
When a client isn’t afraid of color or pattern, the world of possibilities in remodeling is endless. As a design build firm, it is so much fun working with someone who is willing to “step out of the box” to create a lively and colorful room. Our designer, Beth Spegal, was even able to make window treatments to match the wallpaper and pattern truly making the bathroom a custom project.
From the wallpaper to the cabinet hardware, this bathroom now brought joy to our client who had lived in this home for so long. She is a bright and vibrant person who now has a bathroom to match!
