We transformed a modest sized home in Huber Heights into the home of our client’s dreams in just a few short months. Remodeling Designs, Inc. took an early 1990’s home and helped create a space they could truly call their own.
During the design process, we learned that our clients wanted to increase the functionality of their kitchen while also creating the look they always wanted. Their taste in furniture is contemporary, and they wanted to carry that look throughout their whole first floor.
Our design team went to work creating ideas for the perfect plan that met all their needs. Our clients desired to sit at an island rather than at a table. The kitchen wasn’t quite large enough for an island. However, a peninsula off the main workspace was the perfect spot for an additional prep area as well as a few places to sit.
We added a beverage cooler on the end of the peninsula that faces the adjoining family room. The family can now easily access drinks without bothering the cook in the kitchen.
Beautiful cherry cabinets with stunning black and white granite make the kitchen the focal point of the home. Hardwood floors are easy to clean and look great with any decorating style.
Black and white granite is carried into the powder room as well. A floating granite top with an apron complements the contemporary look. We also changed the stairwell to complete the look with a new, black handrail, balusters, newel post, and carpet runner.
In the family room, we gave the fireplace a contemporary upgrade with a linear, electric fireplace, stacked stone, and electric TV mount. With the push of a button, the TV will lower to optimal TV viewing height.
